Introducing ___________ Plays. [What–you have a better name?] Last week, I sent out a request for Pocket Plays which all began with the following line:

DANIEL: What’s with this oatmeal?

Many small and precious plays were sent to me; all were the best thing I’ve ever read. Below are the favorites I’ve chosen to share. It was hard, the choosing. So hard! Why did no one tell me about the choosing? No one told me.

However, more Fill-In-The-Blanks to come. In the meantime, enjoy these plays about oatmeal–oatmeal! Homely, steadfast oatmeal. Our breakfast, our friend.

DANIEL: What’s with this oatmeal?
LISA: I read her e-mail.
DANIEL: Way more apple than cinnamon.
LISA: For the record, I’m the one who compromised.
DANIEL: (…)
LISA: Have my muffin.

PETE: I don’t know, why?
